Blue screen of death (BSoD)

    My PC has been crashing on me with the famous Blue Screen of Death (BSoD) since last Friday when I tried to connect an Oracle database with either Oracle SQL Developer or Aqua Data Studio. It turned out that my modem driver was not working properly and caused the crash. I have no idea why it has anything to do with my modem, and I don’t even know my PC has a modem! But anyway, after I updated my modem driver, everything is fine.

    While searching the blue screen error code on the Internet, I came across to this video clip of the most famous BSoD event: while Bill Gates was presenting their then-new Windows 98 at a conference on April 20, 1998, the demo PC crashed with a BSoD. It was a big embarrassment for Microsoft and Bill could only say, “That must be why we’re not shipping Windows 98 yet.” Here is the video clip:
